Honorbound 2008 After Action Report

  • Congratulations to Rick Bickner from Jackson WY for winning the Ducky Race. You will be joining last years winner Code Earl at the 2009 SpecOps Elite Weekend. Between the Ducky Race and Raffle Tickets, we raised over $1,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
  • Congratulations to Task Force Ranger in winning the over all points total. You really gave the Mogadishu I.C.U. a run for their money.
  • Congratulations to Team Suppressor in winning the Most-Valuable-Team award. You guys really rocked (see you at Aliens in the Rockies).
  • Congratulations to all the MVP's awarded. Unfortunately I didn't get those names recorded, but you all did great.

2009 Event Details

COMMAND-N-CONQUER

When:Some Saturday in early May, 2009, Date Not Yet Confirmed.
Where:Ontario Paintball Challenge, Ontario OR. (map to field)
Duration:All Day (6 Hours) - Three (3) Rounds.
Event Paint:  FIELD PAINT ONLY.
Game Format:  Force on Force, Special Character Roles.
Description:  

Played like the classic computer game, but with a space twist.  This game is set in the Star Trek universe. The Galaxy (field) is evenly divided among the Borg, Romulan, Klingon and Federation empires which all start the game in their very own corner of the Galaxy.  Each team has special Pros & Cons.  By the end of the game, one species will rule the Galaxy.  Will your people have the cunning, skill and speed it takes to conquer your opponents?  If so, you now have all of the resources you need to conquer the universe.

Come dressed in your favorite Start Trek costume and be entered into our costume contest for free prizes.

This game is open to players of all abilities, and ages 13 and over.  Players younger than 13 may play after gaining approval from the event coordinator.  Players younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

AIR (CO2 and HPA) is included in registration.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: The Day After

When:Fri - Sat; Early July, 2009, Date Not Yet Confirmed.
Where:Ontario Paintball Challenge, Ontario OR. (map to field)
Duration:Fri: 6PM - 10PM, Sat: 10AM - 6PM.
Event Paint:  FIELD PAINT ONLY.
Game Format:  BIG GAME, Force on Force, Command Structure, Special Character Roles, Special Missions.
Description:  

Come spend a couple days celebrating our nations independence and saving mankind from extinction. On July 4th, the world fought back and dealt a devastating blow to the Alien invasion. The destruction of the mother ship and the many satellite ships brought a big sigh of relief to the human race.  What they didn't know is that a second mother ship had actually landed on the far side of the moon and is at this moment, preparing for the final onslaught of the human race and the rape of the worlds resources.

This game is open to players of all abilities, and ages 13 and over.  Players younger than 13 may play after gaining approval from the event coordinator.  Players younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

AIR (CO2 and HPA) is included in registration.

COUNTER STRIKE: Counter-Terrorism School

When:Some Saturday in early August, 2009, Date Not Yet Confirmed.
Where:Ontario Paintball Challenge, Ontario OR. (map to field)
Duration:All Day (6 Hours) - Six (6) Rounds with a 1 round Force on Force at the end.
Event Paint:  FIELD PAINT ONLY.
Game Format:  Force on Force, Special Character Roles.
Description:  

Come out and test your skills at our Counter-Terrorism School. Games will be run just like the famous computer game, and will include Hostage Rescue, Bomb Defusal, and VIP Escort missions. Each Counter-Terrorism team will have a team Medic. Each team will get to play both sides of each mission.

There will be a total of 6 Training Missions played, (2 x Hostage Rescue, 2 x Bomb Defusal, 2 x VIP Escort). Each Training Mission will last at most 30 minutes. Your team will execute the mission as fast as possible during that 30 minute time limit. The faster the time, the more points accumulated. After the mission is completed, teams will swap sides and execute the Training Mission again.

After the 6 Training Missions are completed, one last Force-on-Force game will be held for final points.

Counter Terrorists eliminated by anything other than a head shot can be healed by their medic one time during each mission. Terrorists will have no respawns.

Door prizes will be given out at the end of the game. The team with the most points at the end of the day will receive an additional Grand Prize.

Duration:Fri: 6PM - 10PM, Sat: 10AM - MIDNIGHT, Sun: 10AM - 2PM.
Event Paint:  EVENT PAINT ONLY.
Game Format:  BIG GAME, Force on Force, Command Structure, Special Character Roles, Special Missions.
Fund Raiser:  5th Annual fund raiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Description:  

Current Game Options include:

  • War of the Worlds: On September 25th of 2009, the earth goes to war...  Loosely base on the H. G. Wells' novel "The War of the Worlds", citizens of earth find themselves at war with invaders from Mars (and possibly other planets).
  • War of the Roses (1455-1487): A series of dynastic civil wars fought in England between supporters of the Houses of Lancaster and York.  I'll be looking for a special team to take on the role of the Fighting Irish (swing team under my control).
  • British American War (1812-1814): The main land fighting of the war occurred along the Canadian border, in the Chesapeake Bay region, and along the Gulf of Mexico; extensive action also took place at sea.  I'll be looking for a special team to take on the role of the American Indians (swing team under my control).
