This event
has come and gone. Those that attended had a great time. Check back for the after action report and event pictures. Special thanks go out to Stripes for helping out and taking some awesome action photos.
Our first Big Game of the year. Played like the classic computer game,
but this year, we're going to add a space twist.
This game is going to be set in the Star Trek universe. The
Galaxy (field) will be evenly divided among the Federation, Klingon,
Romulan and Borg empires which all start the game in their
very own corner of the Galaxy. We will be throwing in fun Trekkie
twists all day so be alert. By the end of the game, one species will
rule the Galaxy.
This game is open to players of all ages (13+) and abilities. Come
dressed in your favorite Start Trek costume and be entered into our costume
contest for free prizes. Will your people have the cunning,
skill and speed it takes to conquer your opponents? If so, you now
have all of the resources you need to conquer the universe.
Door Prizes will be awarded to players at the end of the day.

AIR (CO2 and HPA) is included in registration. FIELD PAINT ONLY EVENT -- Support the
field owners by purchasing their paint.

June Night Hawk - Night Game #1
This night game will combine all of the missions (and a few more) that the players
executed during the day in the Counter-Strike game. The two
teams will have patrol bases that they will have to operate from to
execute Demolition Missions, Hostage/VIP Escort,
Grab Missions,
Force-on-Force and more. At the start of the game, each team
commander will be given a mission packet with all the information
needed for the night. You will have four hours to complete all
your missions and score a killing blow against your opponent.
Night Paintball games are probably the most intense
Paintball experience ever. You will experience intense and
exciting encounters in our outdoor Paintball field.
Due to the extreme nature of playing Paintball in the dark, the
minimum age for Night Hawk games is 15 years old. For
safety reasons, all guns will be Chronographed at a maximum of 260
FPS.

HONORBOUND 2008 - Operation Gothic Serpent
PROLOGUE: On the afternoon of October 3, 1993,
information was received that two leaders of warlord Mohamed Farrah
Aidid's clan were at a residence in central Mogadishu.
Task Force Ranger, under command of Maj. General William F.
Garrison, commander of JSOC, initiated Operation Gothic Serpent,
sending in 19 aircraft, 12 vehicles, and 160 men to arrest them.
During the mission, Private Todd Blackburn missed
the rope while fast-roping from an MH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and
fell 70 feet to the street below, badly injuring himself. The two
Somali militia leaders were quickly arrested and the prisoners and
the injured Ranger were loaded on a convoy of ground vehicles.
However, armed Somalis converged on the target area from all over
the city.
The battle turned out to be the most intensive close
combat that US troops had engaged in since the Vietnam War. In the
end, two MH-60 Black Hawks were destroyed (as well as one seriously
damaged) and 19 US soldiers were killed along with 1 Malaysian
soldier on the rescue convoy. Estimates of Somali dead are around
1000 Somali Militiamen killed during the battle. The Delta Force
Snipers SFC Randall Shughart and MSG Gary Gordon were posthumously
awarded with the Medal of Honor for their efforts protecting their
brothers in arms.
|
WARNING: Mogadishu is regarded as
the most lawless and dangerous city on
Earth. It is not safe for leisure or
tourism. If you are planning a visit for
international aid work, etc, you will
need expert advice and planning. |
|
We will be re-enacting this operation made famous by
the movie "Black Hawk Down", with Task Force Ranger consisting of a
hand-picked team of highly experienced paintballers, hunkered down
on the field of play for 24 hours straight. The OP-FORCE will
consist of 2 independent Clans (Ethiopian E.C.U., and the
Mogadishu I.C.U.), surrounding the Task Force
throughout the event.
To start things off, Task Force Ranger will have to fight for, secure and
setup their Base-of-Operations. They will then be called upon to execute missions
radioed in every 30-60 minutes, and remain on the field of play until mid Sunday morning
(eat, sleep, rest, recover and fight), before trying to break through each clans lines
to reach freedom. They will have to hump in all of their supplies in the opening
mission of the game, and keep them secure until they break out on Sunday morning.
Note: There "may" be a re-supply option for the Task
Force; meaning if needed, I might create an on-the-fly re-supply
mission with my staff. This could involve event staff or an
event vehicle dropping off their supplies at a remote location.
The Clans will also have missions to perform, as
well as standing orders to harass and confront the Task Force and
neighboring Clans. They will have the luxury to go off field
and eat, sleep, rest and recover. Each clan Warlord will be
given specific night missions to execute against the Task Force.
After Action Reports:
The weekend was great and I hope everyone had a great time.
-
Congratulations to Rick Bickner from Jackson WY for winning the Ducky Race. Between the Ducky Race and Raffle Tickets, we raised over $1,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
-
Congratulations to Task Force Ranger in winning the over all points total. You really gave the Mogadishu I.C.U. and run for their money.
-
Congratulations to Team Suppressor in winning the Most-Valuable-Team award. You guys really rocked.
-
Congratulations to all the MVP's awarded. Unfortunately I didn't get those names recorded.
A big THANK YOU to all the teams and individual players that came out to make this event a success.
